SSG Foundation (Savitri Devi Shiv Narain Gupta Foundation) was established in the year 2007 at Moradabad, U.P., India as a Charitable Trust with the object of promoting education and providing relief to underprivileged sections of society. This Foundation has been established by Sudhir Gupta Advocate and his sons in the memory of his revered mother and father. Sudhir Gupta is a member of Rotary Club Moradabad, had been District Governor of Rotary International District 3100 India and is a National Committee Member of India National PolioPlus Committee established to help eradicate polio from India. He is the Founder Chairman of Moradabad Institute of Technology and Convenor of Society for Adhyatma Studies propagating wisdom enshrined in Vedas, Upnishads and Darshan Shastras. The Trustees of the SSG Foundation are Sudhir Gupta, Dr. Saurabh Gupta and Rahul Gupta. Moradabad, where this Foundation is located, is known as Brass City of India and is approximately 170 Kms. from Delhi on National Highway No.24, in the State of Uttar Pradesh. The city has a population of approximately one million. All economic strata of people live here from very rich to very poor. Very miserable and pathetic condition is of those people who are living in slums scattered across the city. In some slum areas people live in temporary hutments. Their living conditions are most unhygienic. They do not have access to safe drinking water, proper food, and proper sanitation facilities. Many of these slum dwellers earn their livelihood by picking rags from streets of the city. They are living in abject poverty. They are not in a position to avail medical facilities and education for their children. Usually children are made to work along with their parents. Even free medical facilities provided by the Government like Routine Immunization and Nutrition Assistance etc. do not reach them. According to municipal records there are 60 such slums, each housing 500 to 800 persons. Likewise in surrounding rural areas, the living conditions of the inhabitants are quite miserable. It is needed to alleviate the living conditions of these people. SSG Foundation initiated some projects to provide relief and support to them.<\/p>\n
